School Board Recogntion

January 28, 2019

This is the time of year that school districts and communities honor their School Board members.  Our school board members help develop policies, and make tough decisions on educational and social issues that impact the entire community.

Our school board members bear the responsibility for an annual budget of approximately $10 million for a district comprised of 1430 students, and 160 employees.

We are very fortunate to have an intelligent and professionally accomplished board, whose goal is to make decisions that are best for students and staff.

The vision, care and dedication to our children by our school board members are one of the keys in making Verdigris a great place to raise a family.

Our board members have a combined service of 50 years, they are Kandy Collins-President (20 years), Todd York – Vice President (12 years), Wayne Stinnett – Member (8 years), Scott Pickens – Clerk (7 years), and Russell Teal – Member (3 years).
